Fan Art/Predictions: “Nancy Drew” #33: “Midnight in Salem” Game Cover Art Prediction

WARNING: THE FOLLOWING YOU’RE ABOUT TO SEE MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE NEXT “NANCY DREW” GAME! SO PLEASE, TURN BACK NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT THE NEXT GAME SPOILED!!!!!

-We Now Joined Our Regularly Scheduled Post Already in Progress-

Hello, I’m The Detective Librarian and as you can tell, today’s post is a cover art prediction for the next “Nancy Drew” game, “Midnight in Salem”. That’s right, Nancy Drew’s going to Salem, Massachusetts, the location of the Salem Witch Trials! It’s cool because I’ve always wondered what it’ll be like if there was a “Nancy Drew” game in Salem. If you want to know what the game is about, check out the preview that was seen at the end of the latest “ND” game, “Sea of Darkness”. Also, this shows a sneak peek of Nancy’s new voice after Lani Minella sadly retired as our heroine detective herself. Please note that the following you’re about to see may be creepy/disturbing/scary for some readers/viewers.:

As you probably tell, Nancy’s going to help a friend of her rival, Deirdra Shannon, that is believed to be a witch and the my prediction shows a half-human girl, half-witch on the middle, a stereotypical witch flying with a broom and a black cat near a clock tower and the yellow moon with a creepy face on, the burning house that was seen in the preview with a bunch of jack-o-lanterns (obviously, the game takes place on Halloween) with the words on the middle left corner saying: “Some Friends Cannot Be Trusted, Even By Those Who Believe in Witches!” So, yeah, what can I say, not my best. But hey, what are you gonna do! Anyways, I hope you enjoyed my prediction and tell me what you think what the cover art of the game looks like. As always, I’m The Detective Librarian and look out for “Nancy Drew: Midnight in Salem” later this year!

Fan Art: “Thomas & Friends: Sodor’s Legend of the Lost Treasure” DVD Cover Art Prediction

Anyways, what I’m really here for is that I made a DVD cover art prediction to prepare for the upcoming special. As you can see, it includes Thomas on the bottom at the sea with a surprised facial expression, a pirate ship (from the Big Golden Book) on the middle left next to Ryan, Ryan (the purple tank engine next to the pirate ship on the middle left) looks pretty cool and let’s just hope he does play an important role in the film and his face is a bit similar as what I can tell, Thomas’ face. But however, he appears to be based on a GNR (Great Northern Railway) N2 tank engine locomotive. Here’s Rex and Mike (two of the Arlesdale Small Railway engines) on the middle and right side of the poster. I just drew new faces to represent the TV series and the CGI series, and here’s Skiff and Sailor John next to Mike. Please note that Skiff is a railboat; yes that’s right, Skiff is a boat that runs on tracks.

I’ll be honest, Skiff looks a bit unrealistic, but he’s actually based on an actual boat with wheels that runs on tracks called “Spooner’s Boat”. Next, we have a treasure chest on a rock in the ocean because the entire film will be a pirate-themed special and there will be (again) lost treasure. Here’s the logo that I copied, cut, and pasted from the Big Golden Book cover and with the words “All New Movie” on top of the cover. I should note that the Small Railway Engines do appear in “The Railway Series” and they will be making an appearance in this special, which is awesome.  But we don’t know if other engines that work at the Small Railway, like Bert, Frank, Jock, and Blister I and II, will appear in the special.

Overall, I think I did a pretty good job with the cover and I’m really looking forward to this special, even though I have to agree that the finding lost stuff plotline is getting too old if you ask me. Please let me know in the comments section bellow of what you think of the poster and if you’re excited to see Rex and Mike on the TV screen for the first time along with the Small Railway. I’m The Detective Librarian and stay tuned for more reviews from “Finale Month” later this week.
